INTRODUCTION

My  name is kelly gurung . I am the eldest daughter of maya gurung and tashi gurung and I have a smaller brother named karma .I love my family .I was born in nepal in Thapathali hospital  on april 30th 1998 and I am 16 years old. . I am from a buddhist family but i believe that there is only one god but is called in different names by different religions. The language I speak  is nepali and I also talk in english.My parents don't usually speak in nepali because our actual language is manage which i don't know how to speak but understand a little .I  have recently finished my grade 10 form mount hermon school darjeeling and i am studying in ullens school now.
When people first meet me they find me very quite and shy but eventually after getting to know me better they find be talkative and funny .My hobbies are swimming dancing ,singing and watching movies.I like spending time with my family and friends

SOCIAL CULTURAL ANTHROPOLOGY

I have chosen to study anthropology because it prepares the student for a wide range of careers in human service fields. It gives us a deeper knowledge of humankind and ourself. It gives us understanding of world affairs and world problems .We get to learn about people in the past and present and I am very curious to know  about everything that makes us human and learn about that from people all over the world. It gives us good skills for communicating multicultural knowledge to the public. Cultural anthropology explores the diversity of ways that different human societies are organized and construct meaning for their lives.

WHAT INTIMIDATES ME ABOUT IB 

what intimidates me about IB is that  it is completely different and more challenging form the ICSE (indian course) which i had been studying for many years .Basically the icse course was related to and focused on only books and we dint really need outer knowledge .Where as ib is so rigorous  and broad  and after doing a lot of research and especially watching videos in youtbe it really creeped me out. Those videos about IB in youtube saying IB will be your biggest mistake and students getting happy because they got three hours of sleep were so scary but i like my mom says nothing difficult in life but we just got to try hard and it will eventually be easy so I got to try my best 

WHAT A STUDENT WANTS FORM HIS/HER TEACHER 

As being our anthology teacher i hope that you have a good relation ship with all the anthropology students .Trust us .Guide us and be with us  throughout all our difficulties . Motivate  us and make us believe that we too can make a difference . Correct us in a constructive way.I  hope the anthropology class arises interest in all the students that we don't realize the time passing by. Forgiving and understanding.Give us full attention.
