CULTURE 

a)      How does our cultural worldview influence and inform our perception of people from other cultures

  Form the time were born we are brought up in a certain culture  and we are expected to follow it.Each cultural has its own beliefs and teachings.As worldview means theory of the world or what people think .Every culture  finds the other culture  very strange or hard to understand.No cultural is bad but its just how people are brought up.Example- muslim men are allowed to have a number of wives and its is normal in their culture  .Since I am form a manage family I find it vey strange because its not allowed in our culture .A man having many wives is  compared to committing a sin. Marriage is  considered very pure and a  bonding between two souls.  

b)      How can we be aware of and change our assumptions? 

-Everything is there for a reason by trying understanding there reason. We should be aware and change our assumption as everything we assume may not be true.Even if you hear or read something about a certain culture, it’s important to realise that doesn’t mean everyone from that particular background acts/thinks/believes the same thing. Just as not everyone you know has identical beliefs; people who come from different cultural backgrounds aren’t all a certain way either. .We can change our assumption in many ways like interacting with different people form different cultural. Researching and studying about them.Attending their cultural events and traveling to different places.Accepting others believes .

c)      How can we benefit from understanding our own cultural worldview and how it affects our relationships with other cultures?

-By understanding our own culture  we get to know who we actually are and  form where did we actually originate.  I personally feel and especially in the Nepali society if we know our own cultural and we share it with our family  members or any adult  they really get impressed , feel proud and consider us smart and intelligent . By understanding our own cultural we can  come to know what is happening  right  or  wrong in the culture .If it is wrong  we can make the people understand and try to change their minds  for the better as we are the future generation .

Understanding other culture  makes us good person 

If we understand others culture  they will eventually understand ours . This can also lead to friendship  we can  share and understand each others culture  more.If everyone starts understanding each other culture  there will be less fighting  and quarreling between people and everyone can live peacefully and united .
