10 MINUTES OBSERVATION

I Kelly gurung had chose to observe Tsering paldon lama while she was shopping for 10 minutes and these are the things I have noticed.

On 6^th of September Saturday we decided to go for shopping. As we entered a shop the surrounding was quite silent and there was a soft music playing .The walls were painted with different colors so the shop was looking quite bright .The shop was quite big with lots of clothes. There were no customers in the shop but there were two sales women.  I started my phones stopwatch and started to observe. I decide to follow her and stay close to her so it would be easier for me to observe her. Tsering first went to the section where there were dresses. She started looking at each dress carefully and also touched it to check its material .Her face expression completely changed when she saw pretty black dress with white flowers prints on it, she started to say oh my god this is so cute.  She then started looking at other clothes also. I was following her everywhere and stayed close to her. As I observed carefully I could  clearly see that she was very choosey and picky about clothes. She was more attracted to colorful clothes, which had different kinds of print.  She also preferred lose and comfortable clothes rather than tight fitting clothes. She picked all the clothes she liked and tried it in front of a big mirror and asked us for advice too.

As she tired the clothes her face expression changed every time she tired  something on when she thought t it was good she was happy and gave a big smile and when she dint like it she showed a lazy and bored face or started to laugh and say this look’s so funny. The other people involved in my observation were two sales woman and Aayushma .Tsering was kind and soft spoken with the saleswoman as they were helping her. At last she finally picked a dress, which was black in color and was really happy and I stopped my stopwatch. What I noticed most importantly is that Tsering really enjoys to shop and has a good choice of clothes.

As I was doing the observation I really enjoyed it as I had never done it before. Basically I chose to observe Tsering as she is one of my close friend and shopping because its one of our favorite thing to do. What I learnt form from this observation is that observing a person is very important as by observing a person we can come to know the person better and learn their behaviors too. Next time if I would get a chance to observe some one again I think I would be more focused, take more notes and observe an unknown person as  think it would be more challenging and fun. 

Tsering felt quite wired at first but after some time she liked being observed as she felt like a very important person. She told me that I had done a good job observing her as I did it carefully. She was really happy to be observed by me.
